...I'm blogging from an undisclosed location tonight because there's no phone line at Upper Left World Headquarters just now. Might be back in a matter of hours, or days. We're still catching up, and the gas company came first.

Blogging tomorrow is iffy, but I'm going to do my best. Keep checking in - I won't be far away...

...I figure I better give y'all a heads up. While some things are a bit more secure than they were a month ago, phone service is in pretty immediate jeaopardy, and my dial-up connection will go with it, so things may suddenly slow down around here. I'll do what I can to get where I have to to check in as much as I can, but I don't have any idea when we'll get the line back. The gas company's right on the phone company's tail and will have to be taken care of first...

I'm off to get what I can to post while I can.

Hi Ho, Ho, Ho...

...it's time to end the computer-fu wars for now and head off to work. When my shift's over I'll have two consecutive days off for the first time in about two years, which may account for the extra measure of holiday spirit I've been feeling lately.

More likely, though, the holidays seem brighter because I'm so damn broke this year. Having completely opted out of the commercial side of the season, I'm actually enjoying myself more than I have in years. I don't recommend being broke, particularly, but if you're a silver lining seeker, there seems to be one there.

I'll check in later if somebody actually makes some news or something.
