And the winner is…

Joel Connelly reports...
Dwight Pelz was overwhelmingly re-elected as state Democratic Chairman at a reorganization meeting in Olympia, overwhelming his opponent Natalie McClendon by a margin of 145 votes to 14.
Bet Dwight had a vote count.

Ann Martin (King County SCW) nominated Natalie McClendon at the State Central Committee Meeting. The two reps from the 32nd LD split the District's vote.

What does the acronymn SCW stand for? Knowing someone named Ann Martin; wonder if it is the same person.

As for Dwight Pelz, methinks the Democrats could've done better. But then, I tend to feel the same way about the new head of the Washington State GOP.

Admittedly, I know little about the latter; but Mr. Pelz, whom I have heard speak in person, always has seemed a bit too taken with himself. But hey, maybe that's what it takes to be a Grand Poopah in the political arena.
