It sometimes seems that Jon Stewart is trying to be David Brinkley - a good man to emulate.
But with Mr. Brinkley, the wit was conbined with that unique delivery that we likely will never see the likes of again. Then too, he was a storyteller who could make non-fiction read like a short story.
Jon Stewart might, however, give Mort Sahl a run for his money, in the long run.
