AP - President Barack Obama on Saturday recalled "that awful morning" nine years ago when "a sorry band of men" who perverted religion attacked the U.S. in hopes of demoralizing and dividing the country.If those were their hopes, I'm thinking that "sorry band" would be pretty happy with their achievement.

Fear divides us, fear of the differences amongst us. What we need is to trust that we all have more in common, as Americans and as people.
Now, more than ever, the words of FDR ring true, "The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself."
The sorry band of men delivered a short burst of "terror". Our media and administration(s) have slathered that terror on the American people every day since to demoralize and divide the country while justifying the murdering and pillaging that continue today.
Sorry band of men who made Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and Iran their final target. Yes. They must be pleased.
