From the "Like rain on your wedding day…" file.

A little actual irony, Via Tbogg...
In an interview with CNN, O’Donnell bemoaned what she called “Republican cannibalism...”
Um, no, Miss O'Donnell, you don't get to launch a primary insurgency and then whine about partisan infighting.

You just don't.

At least you shouldn't.

I do wish you all the luck in the world out there in Delawherever today, though.

Really, I do.

Back in his prime, columnist Dave Barry, when writing about something that was true, but so unbelievable as to be laughable, would type out a sentence that said: I am not making this up!

One of the most odd things about an odd candidate, Christine O'Donnell, falls clearly into that realm. Here we have a candidate who says she wants to "take back America" - perhaps from the Chinese, who own it - and save us all from Godless socialism. Yet, in the early 1990s, campaigned against masturbation, as some sort of so-called Christian savior of young America's morals. Articles one can readily access on the Internet via the usual search engines state she took this campaign as far as places such as MTV.

Probably no one is as pleased as those poor political reporters assigned to cover the Senate race in Delaware, that O'Donnell won the GOP side of the coin toss. It had probably looked like a grim slog through the next few weeks, if Castle had won. When O'Donnell puts her foot in her mouth - speaking figuratively here - reporters can say, "You can't make this stuff up."
