Perhaps the president needs to borrow the words, used by a character in that bit "Men on Film," from the comedy show of the early 1990s, "In Living Color" which was, "Don't hate me 'cause I'm beautiful." (Which Damon Wayons got from a Clairol commercial of that time.)
It sure does seem that the notion of a bi-partisan Washington D.C. is lost to the ages.
