Remember...

…there is no recovery without jobs.

American's flight schedule cuts mean 1,600 fewer jobs

Cessna Aircraft to cut another 1,300 positions

No recovery so far, it seems...

The recovery is far off. Obama's spending spree has made sure of that. You cannot spend your way out of a recession, but you can spend your way into a looming depression. LOOK OUT it's coming.

Am I a hopeless romantic to wish that Bush were still in office? No, not a hopeless romantic, just a person who fervently wishes that an affirmative action designate wasn't president. Heck, at this point I'd settle for McCain cause even he couldn't be worse than Nobama.

Chrysler has re-opened several plants, with the one that makes the Dodge Viper, the V10 powered sports car, first. It is a small start, but it is a start.

I am damn tired of hearing that you "can't spend your way out of recession." There is another old saying I like to believe applies to today's reality and it is "you must spend money to make money."

The people spending money in the case of Chrysler is Fiat S.p.A., who apparently believes there is hope or they wouldn't be messing with it. The taxpayers are indeed holding the bag, but if Chrysler can come back, and help Fiat return to the States, with the exciting new products they have, the cash flow will be positive, not negative.

The airline and airplane industry, on the other hand, is another thing. Global warming concerns and the credit crisis, probably will keep that industry beleagured for years. Sadly, some companies may go away, and so too, their jobs.

I don't think a President McCain could have done any better than President Obama is doing. I ask those who keep putting down the president, "Well, what do you propose, or your guy." whomever they backed in the last election.

That old, "let things take their course" nonsense just won't cover things. Not anymore, it won't. People have to feed their families.
