I got the reference, of course, but (like you) I'm old enough to remember when Traffic albums were new.
I loved Mason's "marble" album, and was always amazed that it never seemed to get scratched even though it was packaged without a paper sleeve.

My copy of it went the other way in my divorce ... only because I'm the one who moved out, and she got custody of the turntable.
Does your copy still sound as clean as it did (gulp) 39 years ago?
Dunno. My turntable's not hooked up right now. The only analog stuff I hear are the cassettes I'm slowly but surely digitizing. Then I'll mothball the cassette deck, hook up the turntable and get to work on the vinyl. That's the plan, anyway.
