Baqouba: American helicoptor shot down by small arms fire, gunbattles in streets.

Kut: Ukranian forces driven out of city by Mahdi army forces. South African merc killed.

Kufa: Madhi army retains control of city.

Karbala: Mahdi army controls city, clashes with Polish patrols, 2 Iranian tourists and Sadrist cleric killed. Bulgarian troops call for backup after continuing attacks and the death of a Bulgarian civilian truck driver

Baghdad: Combined Sunni and Shiite force battles US forces.
