If only intelligence was considered by people more often, when they voted for someone to represent them.
Your comment is reminiscent of that old saying, about at least some politicians; to wit, "How can you tell when he's (or she's) telling a lie? His (or her) lips are moving."
Given some of the events of the past few weeks, it's not changed much. The problem is most politicians try to be all things, to all people - an impossibility.
