While being what is called "pro-choice" myself, as an adoptee, I can understand why people oppose abortion. But given the number of unwanted children one reads about, who get killed by parents or step-parents, I (reluctantly) support the right of a woman to have an abortion. I remember little Eli Creekmore's story and it still causes me to weep.
When there's a home for all the unwanted children, maybe I'd feel differently.
In the meantime, I'd guess Mr. Stupid, er, Stupak is going to lose his gig in Congress. But I also read that he brings home the proverbial bacon - roadwork, etc. So who can say for certain?
